OCHS Junior Paige Thies Receives Gatorade’s Player of the Year Award for Oregon State

In a remarkable display of talent and dedication, Paige Thies, a standout volleyball athlete from Oregon City School District, has been named the Gatorade Player of the Year. This prestigious award, given annually to high-performing student-athletes who excel in both sports and academics, highlights Thies' exceptional achievements on and off the court.

Paige Thies has not only led her volleyball team to numerous victories but has also set new standards in athletic performance. Her coaches and teammates consistently praise her work ethic, sportsmanship, and leadership, making her an exemplary figure in the Oregon City School District's sports community.

Beyond the volleyball court, Thies excels academically, maintaining an impressive 4.02 weighted GPA and participating in various extracurricular activities. Her commitment to excellence extends to community service, where she volunteers regularly as a youth volleyball coach. Her involvement in community service activities demonstrates her understanding of the importance of giving back and being a role model for younger students.
